Grassroots and volunteer-powered, OFDC invests in people. More specifically, your donation to OFDC empowers women by providing start-up funds for Village Saving and Loan (VSL) programs and training, educates children with school uniforms and school desks, and enhances health for all with mosquito net distribution and funding for water wells and latrines (villagers provide 20% of the costs and volunteer labor). All focus areas are village collaborative and culturally sensitive - dedicated, skilled, and heart-felt volunteers from both sides of the ocean learning from each other.

Efficient and diligent stewards of your donated dollars, OFDC concentrates on what really matters: long term solutions to locally identified problems. Past country projects include Bolivia, Guatemala, Malawi and Nepal. Now focusing on remote areas of Kenya, your donation continues to actuate sustainability, self-reliance and human achievement.

Community involved solutions to end poverty are funded through donations from big-hearted people like you and grants from small family foundations with big hearts.

As we wind down our operations over the next few years, it is business as usual with stellar oversight of the disbursement of our donor reserve funds as we continue our mission to Empower Women, Educate Children and Enhance Health for All.
